The frequency of counselling depends on what you are working on, your goals, your circumstances and the amount of support that is useful to you. Some people attend more frequently when they begin and space appointments further apart as they make progress. We can determine a schedule together and adjust it as your needs change.

There is no predetermined length of time for individual counselling. A specific problem may require relatively focused work, while a more complex or longstanding concern may benefit from a longer process.

We can regularly look at the progress you are making, what remains important to you and whether counselling continues to be useful. The aim is to do the work that helps you create the change you came for.

Yes. What you discuss in counselling is confidential, subject to the professional and legal limits of confidentiality. I will explain those limits so you understand how your information is protected and the circumstances in which disclosure may be required.

Yes. I offer virtual counselling to clients throughout British Columbia. You can attend from a private location where you feel comfortable speaking openly and have a reliable internet connection.
