RCMP Counselling Coverage in BC

I am an approved counselling provider for RCMP members. Members may be able to access counselling through RCMP benefit programs, including the Member and Family Assistance Program and RCMP Health Services.

Police work can place unusual pressure on the nervous system, relationships, sleep, mood, and identity. Counselling gives members a private place to address stress, anxiety, depression, operational stress injuries, trauma exposure, family strain, and the cumulative effects of demanding work.

Counselling support for RCMP members

In counselling, I work with clients to understand what is happening, reduce avoidance, strengthen coping strategies, and develop a practical plan for recovery. Depending on the concern, our work may draw from approaches such as CBT, EMDR, DBT, or solution-focused counselling.

What counselling may help with

  • Operational stress and trauma exposure
  • Anxiety, depression, irritability, or burnout
  • Sleep disruption, hypervigilance, or emotional numbing
  • Relationship strain, family stress, or difficulty transitioning between work and home
  • Recovery after a difficult incident or prolonged stress

Using RCMP benefits for counselling

Benefit programs can be confusing when someone is already under stress. I am familiar with counselling coverage processes and can help clients understand what information may be needed to begin. If you are unsure whether your benefits apply, you can contact the practice before booking.

Sessions are available in Walnut Grove, Langley and online across British Columbia. You can also learn more about trauma and injury counselling, anxiety counselling, or contact me to ask about fit.
